The best agency software in India depends on what is breaking.
A ranked list would be a vendor grading its own homework, and Ancor publishes this page. So this guide sorts the tools Indian agencies actually shortlist by the situation each one fits, says what each costs in its own published terms, and says where Ancor is the wrong pick.
Last reviewed: 26 October 2026. By Rushabh Porwal, founder of Ancor OS, who spent seven years working inside agencies before building it. Competitor pricing models are taken from each vendor's public pricing page, checked 23 October 2026, and listed with sources on the alternatives page.
What is the best agency management software in India?
There is no single best tool, because agencies break in different places. For an Indian marketing, creative or digital agency of 10 to 100 people that needs live project margin, capacity in hours, client approvals and GST invoices in one place, at a rupee price per team rather than per seat, Ancor OS is built for exactly that case. If you already keep your books in Zoho Books, Zoho Projects keeps projects and accounting with one vendor. If you only need tasks and boards, Asana, ClickUp or monday.com cost less to start. Agencies well above 100 people that need purchasing and multi-entity accounting are better served by Scoro, Workamajig or Function Point.
Find your situation first. Then the shortlist is short.
| Your situation | Shortlist | Why it fits | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 to 100 people, margin and capacity live in spreadsheets, GST invoices retyped by hand | Ancor OS | Live project margin, capacity in hours, no-login client approvals, retainer burn and GST invoices with a Tally export, at one rupee price per team | Launched in 2026, so there are no published reviews yet. It is not a ledger, and it does not file returns or generate IRN e-invoices. |
| Already on Zoho Books, want one vendor for projects and accounting | Zoho Projects | Low cost, a free plan for up to 5 users and 3 projects, and Zoho Books for GST compliance including filing | Timesheets start on a paid plan; retainer allowances, scope changes and proofing are thinner |
| The pain is only tasks and boards; finance is handled elsewhere and works | Asana, ClickUp, monday.com | Flexible, quick for non-technical teams, low entry price per user | Project margin, capacity in hours and GST invoices need add-ons or a spreadsheet; monday.com sells paid plans from 3 seats |
| Want a mature agency platform and can pay per user in dollars or euros | Productive, Scoro, Teamwork.com | Budgeting, time and resourcing at the core, with years of agency use behind them | Per-user pricing with seat minimums on some plans (Productive 3, Scoro 5); no GST invoicing built for India |
| Well above 100 people, need purchasing and multi-entity accounting in one suite | Scoro, Workamajig, Function Point | Full back-office breadth built for larger shops | Longer setup and a price built for that breadth |
| Only need hours tracked | Clockify, Toggl Track, Harvest | Cheap, good timers with desktop and mobile apps | Hours do not become margin, capacity or GST invoices on their own |
| Only need deep proofing on video, PDF and live sites | Ziflow, Filestage | Markup and multi-stage review depth | Approvals sit apart from the hours, the budget and the invoice |
| The work is software sprints, issues and releases | Jira | The standard for backlogs and sprints | Client sign-off, margin and invoicing need add-ons |

Five checks that global "best of" lists skip for India.
- The real monthly bill in rupees. Multiply the per-user price by today's headcount and by headcount plus five, apply any seat minimum, then the exchange rate and 18% GST. As an illustration, a tool listed at $10 a user a month costs $150 for 15 people and $200 for 20, before tax and conversion. A flat team price does not move with either.
- Where GST invoices are made. If invoices live in a separate tool, someone retypes hours into it every month. Ask whether the invoice carries your GSTIN, splits CGST and SGST or IGST by place of supply, and carries SAC codes.
- Margin while the job is running. Ask to see projected margin on a live project, not a report run after the invoice. See project profitability for agencies.
- Capacity in hours. Ten small tasks and ten large ones look the same as task counts. See resource planning for agencies.
- A sign-off you can find later. Indian clients often approve on WhatsApp or email. Ask whether an approval is recorded against the exact version the client saw. See client approval software.
What Ancor is, and what it is not.
Ancor OS is agency management software for marketing, creative and digital agencies with 10 to 100 people, keeping projects, timesheets, team capacity, client approvals, live project margin and GST invoicing in one workspace. It is built in Mumbai and workspace data is hosted in Mumbai.
- Price. Studio is ₹9,999 a month + GST for up to 10 people, Practice is ₹14,999 + GST for up to 20, and Atelier is ₹19,999 + GST for up to 30, with a sales-led Custom plan above 30. The 14-day trial needs no card. See pricing.
- Not a ledger. Ancor drafts GST invoices and exports them to TallyPrime; your books stay in Tally or Zoho Books. It does not file returns or generate IRN e-invoices. See GST invoicing.
- Connections. Slack and Microsoft Teams, Zoho Books read-only, and imports from CSV, Excel and Microsoft Planner. No WhatsApp or Gmail connection. See integrations.
- Early. Ancor launched in 2026. There are no published case studies or reviews yet, so the fair test is to run one live client in it next to your current tool for the trial.
Choosing agency software in India. The usual questions.
What is the best agency management software in India?
It depends on what is breaking. For an Indian agency of 10 to 100 people that needs live project margin, capacity in hours, client approvals and GST invoices in one place at a rupee price per team, Ancor OS is built for that case. If you already run Zoho Books, Zoho Projects keeps accounting and projects with one vendor. If you only need tasks, Asana, ClickUp or monday.com are cheaper to start. Agencies well above 100 people that need purchasing and multi-entity accounting are better served by Scoro, Workamajig or Function Point.
Is there agency management software with GST invoicing?
Yes. Ancor OS raises GST invoices with your GSTIN, CGST and SGST or IGST by place of supply, HSN or SAC codes and credit notes, and exports them to TallyPrime. It does not file returns or generate IRN e-invoices. Zoho Books handles GST compliance including filing. Most global project and agency platforms leave GST to a separate tool.
How much does agency management software cost in India?
Most tools charge per user, often in US dollars or euros, and some set seat minimums: Productive asks for at least 3 seats, Scoro for at least 5, and monday.com sells paid plans from 3 seats. Ancor OS charges one flat price per team: ₹9,999 a month + GST for up to 10 people, ₹14,999 + GST for up to 20 and ₹19,999 + GST for up to 30, with a Custom plan above 30 and a 14-day trial with no card.
What should an Indian agency check before buying agency software?
Check five things: the real monthly bill in rupees at today's headcount and at headcount plus five, including seat minimums and the exchange rate; whether GST invoices are made in the tool or retyped elsewhere; whether a project's margin is visible while it is still running; whether capacity is shown in hours rather than task counts; and whether a client approval is recorded against the exact version they saw.
Is Ancor OS established?
No. Ancor OS launched in 2026 and is early. It has no published customer case studies or reviews yet. The 14-day trial needs no card, so the practical test is to run one live client in it next to your current tool.
